Fifth blood drive, September 2013

We are very happy to report that the fifth blood drive organized by Nepalese Association of Connecticut (NAConn) and co-sponsored by Congregation Beth Israel on Sunday, September 22, 2013 was a huge success. Altogether 57 enthusiastic donors turned up to donate their blood and 36 were from Nepalese community. This was an amazing turnout and encouraging participation from our community members.

The blood drive was held at Congregation Beth Israel, West Hartford. The program ran from 8.30 a.m. till 2 p.m. Among those who came to donate blood were  Brinda Neupane, Arjun Devkota, Shankar Mahat Chhetri, Tika Ghimire, Santosh Lamsal, Badri Parajuli, Ravi Kafle, Rinku Shrestha, Raju Bajgain, Chuntui Lama, Gopal Gautam, Anup Ojha, Chetan Khadka, Ghanashyam Khadka, Madhav Atreya, Sweekar KC, Ramesh Pathak, Laxmi Bajagain, Sita Bajagain, Mahendra Shreshtha,  Sudip Adhikari, Yadav C Dulal, Muna Tiwari, Nabin Khadka,Tenjing Sherpa, Jaya Kumar Rai,Tilak Malla,Gopal Adhikari, Sarika Shreshtha.

NAConn heartily appreciates the hard work and dedication of Mr. Pralhad Paneru, the blood drive coordinator. The association would like to thank Rahul Khadka, Anusha Basnet, Kaustuvb Basnet, Anuragi Khadka, Shreya Subedi and Bebina Basnet for volunteering their time in the event. A special thank you to Mamata Malla, Zenith Rai and Aarya Gautam for helping with the blood drive registration process and snacks distribution.

NAConn president Mr. Ghanashyam Khadka thanked all the donors for their true commitment in community service and requested for more active participation in the upcoming events organized by the association.
