SUMMER PICNIC 2012

Nepali Students in Connecticut successfully held the summer of ’69 –a BBQ and sports event – on July 29th, 2012. Their goal was to bring Nepali communities from different corners of Connecticut together for one day of special fun in this summer of Nepali year 2069.
The crowd was composed of good mix of the West Hartford and Branford community at the least.
The event was supported by Haveli India, Nikki’s Dollar, New Park Package Store, Branford Community Organization, Darbar India, Zaroka Bar and Restaurant, and Nepalese Association of Conneticut. The organizing Committee greatly appreciates the support from all the sponsors.
special thanks goes to Mr. Krishna Pandey, the owner of Haveli India located in Middletown, Connecticut for sponsoring food for almost 300 people present at the event.
The amount of money collected through registration and raffle tickets will be donated to Nepal Children Education Fund, and Dil Shova Shrestha who runs Aamako Ghar, a shelter for elderly women in Kathmandu.
